Materials and tools:
- Polymer clay (black and white)
- Machine
- LC Mini Slicer
- Sharp blade – LC Handy Blade
- Round cutter
- Aluminum foil
- Liquid clay
- Mini-drill
Step 1
Condition black polymer clay. Make a block of clay in size 6 cm x 6 cm x 2 cm. Then condition white polymer clay and make a thin sheet.
Step 2
Cut black block in half.
Step 3
Lay one part onto the white sheet and carefully cut around it.
Step 4
Squeeze all parts gently together back into the block shape.
Step 5
Again cut the block and repeat the same procedure.
Step 6
When you are happy with your block, you can reduce it slightly. Slice the cane using LC Slicer or LC Mini Slicer. Use it in your project.
Step 7
Cut using a round cookie cutter and remove the excess clay. Bake according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Step 8
Make a thin sheet of black clay and texturize it with aluminum foil. Cut out the circle again. Then cover the backside of the baked part with liquid clay. Place the black circle in there. Bake again.
Step 9
Drill holes. If needed, sand the edges of the button.
