Materials and tools:
- Polymer clay (colors of your choice)
- Liquid polymer clay
- Machine
- Czextuder + LC Disk 3 (extension with small holes)
- Scalpel, blade
- Small spun cotton ball (approx 2 cm)
- Tweezers
- Cord for Jewelry Making
Step 1
Condition polymer clay and make a thin sheet. Cover the ball and cut off the excess clay. Smooth the surface – roll it in your hands to get a round shape.
Step 2
Use a small cookie cutter and make a hole on the top and bottom.
Step 3
Now extrude the clay. Use the extension with small holes from LC Disk 3.
Step 4
Take 2 extrusions and twist them around each other. Then take another 2 extrusions and twist the strands around each other in the other direction.
Step 5
Press these two parts together. It should look like a braid.
Step 6
Use liquid clay to glue the braid to the ball.
Step 7
Cover the whole ball with braids. Use the cookie cutter to cut out the excess of the braids.
Step 8
Mask connections around both holes by placing extrusions around them. Bake according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Step 9
Put the bead into the water. Let it soak for a while. Use tweezers to pull out the spun cotton ball. Make more beads, and you can make a necklace.
