ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tereza Šťastná

I have been working since my childhood and I have tried many art and handicraft activities. In 2010 I first got to know polymer clay which fascinated me with its possibilities. I have attended several courses of Czech and foreign artists that inspire my work. Creation brings me joy and relaxation from everyday worries.

HOW TO

Step 1.

Condition scrap of approx. 2 pieces, run through the pasta machine on the widest setting, place a raspberry leaf, so that the surface with veins touches the clay and run through the pasta machine on the widest setting, remove the leaf, bake the slice at 110°C for 30 minutes. This is how we create the texture of the leaf.

Step 2.

Condition the white clay approx. 2 pieces, run through the pasta machine on the widest setting, place a raspberry leaf, so that the surface with veins touches the clay and run through the pasta machine on the widest setting, remove the leaf. Prepare PanPastels and color the sheet with the applicator.

Step 3.

Once again, condition the white clay approx. 2 pieces, run through the pasta machine on the widest setting, imprint the baked and cooled leaf texture (dust the texture with starch so that it does not stick to the raw material). Color using PanPastel and an applicator.

Step 4.

Cut both leaves along the central vein and swap halves.

Step 5.

Cut the shape of a leaf with a cutter, cut the inside part with a scalpel. Smooth the edges with a round stylus. Bake at 110 °C for 20 minutes.

Step 6.

Coat the baked cold leaves and LC Microstensils with liquid transparent polymer (for example, LC Glassymer Transparent). Bake at 130°C for 10 minutes.

Step 7.

Mix two parts of brown and one part of black clay, run through the pasta machine on the second widest setting and texture it. Put the leaf on the sheet and cut it out inside and outside with a scalpel.

Step 8.

Remove the leaf, cut out the LC Mikrostensils and place it on the “window”. Apply Poly Pasta to the brown sheet, slightly squeeze and clean with a scalpel.

Step 9.

Apply a brooch bridge, place a small sheet of brown clay over it and texture. Bake at 110- 130°C for 30 minutes. Good luck!
